I function better generally speaking when I have things to look forward to.
Now that school is out and I'm almost ready to move I'm going to be running out of short term goals real soon here and it's probably going to negatively effect my well being if I don't come up with some new ones.
What can you guys think of? Things that I can't easily weasel my way out of or change my mind about would be best.

What kind of goals do you like?
Maybe focusing on daily activities. Like checking off daily chores, getting a book you really want to read done, going for a walk once a day with the dogs... exc.
I am in a similar situation. I couldn't afford summer school over the summer and I am at a loss, so really I am not much help.

Are you into marathons or 5Ks? I'm the type of girl that can get lost in a book. I've been thinking of hopping on the "50 Shades of Grey" bandwagon.

I like the book idea. I've got multiple books that are unfinished or unstarted.
I like the idea of a fitness goal but running is no good for me and I tend to cop out of fitness goals pretty quickly if there's nothing keeping me honest.
Also, I remembered that I have a whole entire flower bed that I will have to de-weed and plant something in and then keep the plants alive.

What about a fitness goal that does not involve running? Taking a walk can be just as beneficial and the fresh air and sunshine are great mood boosters.
Do you have any financial goals? A health goal, like limit eating out, be more adventurous with your recipes? Do you need to do anything to prep for your move, like a yard sale, purging, final day trips to take while you're still in your current location?

I really like the book idea. Finish those unstarted books. And maybe pick up a new hobby - something you never had time to do before but won't take you years to learn.....basic sewing or needlepoint, knitting, scrapbooking, running, building bird houses, gardening, language or something fun.

I started in with Polymer clay beads a while ago. I didn't get that far before I got distracted by other things. I guess that I could create some goals related to that. I've also been wanting to buy a sewing machine now that I'll have space and the person. Ojo I don't have much left to do for the move, small amounts of cleaning and organizing. Plus I'm down to single day digits before the pack and load.
