I stood in Target sobbing tonight

For some reason I miss my mom way more this Mother's day than last year. Maybe because last year was the first without her and I was still numb who knows. I've been edgy for over a week about Mother's day and avoiding buying a card for MIL because I couldn't face the damn card isle.

So hence the standing in the card isle and sobbing. Boo.

Have you been able to see a grief counselor? I know sometimes around this time of year, I get so edgy I have to talk to someone to cope.

I haven't. I tend to write about it which helps and my coworker who I consider my second mom just lets me talk it out which helps. If it continues I might. I feel like overall its getting better but holidays stink.

I did the same thing the second Father's Day after my dad passed away. I don't know why the second either. You're not alone.

It isn't just you. My friend and I were talking about this last weekend. It seems the even years are much harder than the odd. I am having a hell of a time with year 10 without my dad.
